The Murder Mystery Quiz

Our murder mystery quizzes are different from traditional quizzes or murder mystery dinners. The quizzes include a unique combination of questions and riddles which lead to a dark story.

Our quizzes include 18 challenging questions, ruddles, and puzzles that will be sure to test your knowledge and logic.

The quiz is displayed on a computer or screen and participants write their answers on an answer sheet before the team with the most points is picked as the winner.

You will need to purchase credits to redeem and play the quizzes.

One credit allows you to play one quiz.

Buying credits:

1) Firstly, you will need to sign into our website, or register as a new user.

2) Then select “buy credits” and choose the subscription type which suits you best.

3) Pay using a debit/credit card, or via PayPal

Using Credits:

1) Go to “your quizzes” and select a quiz you would like to play

2) Then select “activate quiz”

3) Your quiz is active and playable for 24 hours

Playing the Murder Mystery Quiz is easy

Players will get an answer sheet for 18 answers and a tie-breaker answer.

The quiz is divided into two sections, each with nine brain-teasing questions.

The quiz is displayed on screens and using a sound system.

When answering the players can also take a risk to double their points. However, risking a potentially wrong answer can reduce points!

There are also three key questions in the quiz (number 9, 15, and 18). When all answered correctly, the player can win 4 extra points.

The winner of the quiz is the team or the player that gets the most points in total.

Anyone can arrange an event

There are no limitations on who can arrange an event. The service works in almost any country or region.

The murder Mystery quizzes suit perfectly Pub quizzes, corporate events, private events, and fundraisers.

To arrange a Murder Mystery quiz:

1. Register/login to the service 

2. Buy credits

3. Go through the training and print your materials (the correct answers and answering sheet to the players)

4. Play the Quiz directly from your browser (Google Chrome recommended, active for 24 hours) 

Materials needed: 

- Printed answer sheets for players  (printable from the website) 

- The right answers for the host  (printable from the website) 

- Pens and extra scrap paper 

- Prizes for the winners 

Technics needed:

- Computer and an internet connection

Solve the case

The Quiz has eighteen questions and one tie-breaker. The game is divided into two parts. Fists part has 9 questions and the second part has 9+1 questions. 

There is a break after each section. Answering times can be 1-5 minutes per question, depending on the difficulty level. The duration of the quiz depends on how many teams or players are taking part, and how long the breaks are.

We estimate a 1-2 hour duration.

When you register for the service you will get access to your own page and you can find all the training materials there.

We also provide separate extra training for Pub and Bars on how to promote the events.

Keep the distance and stay safe

We recommend arranging events with social distancing.

You can keep players seated during the event and have a good distance between the tables and players.

Avoid any physical contact and take care of good hand hygiene.

We also recommend following all government guidelines to make the events safer. 

You can also arrange events remotely by Skype, Zoom, or YouTube-Live by only sending the answer sheet Pdf by email or taking the answers by email.

Murder Mystery Quiz - Terms of use

Service provider = Pub Entertainment with Smile Limited 

Customer = End-user of the service

Responsibilities:

Service provider responsibilities: customer service, providing usernames, passwords, and online training. The service provider is also responsible for the maintenance, and contents of the software. The service provider is not responsible for the implementation of the customer’s events or hosts.

Customer Responsibilities: The customer is responsible for marketing, managing hosts, and arranging the events. The customer is responsible for internal information, prizes, and testing the software before the events. The customer is responsible for the operation of its own technology in the events (sound system and TV`s or screens).

Data collection

Pub Entertainment with Smile respects the integrity of every person who visits the Murder Mystery Quiz website or uses their services. The privacy policy outlines how Pub Entertainment with Smile can collect information and utilize the collected information.

The purpose of processing personal data

If the pub provides their personal data for the software provider, it may be stored and subsequently processed to understand the user’s specific needs, and thereby improve software and services. The software provider or the customer may use the information to contact the user and/or can offer third parties non-identifiable personal data about visitors to the murdermysteryquiz.com website. The processing of personal data is based on the legitimate interest of the software provider or the consent given by the data subject.

The software provider collects information from the software end-users. This information can include contact details and other game
data (example: date played, customer count, etc) which is needed to maintain the service. The information is handled and used according to the murdermysteryquiz.com privacy policy.

The customer agrees that the software provider has full use of the collected information. The end users can be contacted by email, post, phone, or internet during and after the contract period.
Customers need to register their information to use the service. The customer is given a unique login and password to use the service. Usernames can only be used by individual users.

The authorized use of the service

The service provider’s downloadable content to the software is only for the license holders' (customer) use. Content and the software can only be used by one customer as agreed upon in the order confirmation. All other use of the content and software is strictly prohibited. Content may not be transferred under any circumstances to a 3rd party without service provider approval. The service usernames and passwords are confidential. Abuse of the service will lead to compensation for damages. For example, abuse can be considered as the presentation of the content by more than one license holder. Content copying or transmission of content to a 3rd Party without service provider approval is prohibited. The content is usable 24 hours after activation. 

Payments (cancellation or refunds)

Single events or event packages:

The payment includes the number of quizzes that are stated in the confirmation of the order. The customer has the right to use the service according to the purchase. After a quiz is activated it is not refundable.

Monthly subscriptions:

If the customer doesn't use all of the quizzes in the monthly subscription, the license is still paid in full. Unused quizzes can not be transferred for the upcoming months. The monthly license can be canceled or paused. If the license is canceled, the license period and payments will stop at the end of the ongoing license month. 

Disclaimer statement

In no event shall the service provider be liable for any special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages whatsoever arising out of or in connection with the customer’s access or use or inability to access or use the Service. The service provider assumes no responsibility for errors or omissions in the contents of the Service. The service content and stories are purely fictional. 

The Service provider reserves the right to make additions, deletions, or modifications to the contents on the Service at any time without prior notice.

The service provider owns all intellectual rights and copyrights to the software and service.
The service provider is not responsible for any technics related issues of the end-user. The customer is responsible for all hardware and techniques needed to run the software.

The service provider is not responsible for any event arranging related matters. The customer is responsible for all event-related matters such as: hosting events, marketing, informing staff, prizes, and other event matters.

Training for the service is provided only from the website and customer care is limited to business days.
The service provider is not responsible for any issues in the software that are related to technical or user-based problems. The customer is given technical specifications and online training for using the service.

All possible reclamations related to the software and service are handled in Pub entertainment customer support. The handling time is one week or more depending on the issue.

The service provider is not responsible for any financial loss that can result from cancellation or other event-related reasons.

The service provider is not responsible for any issues or cancellations that can result from a force majeure or other unexpected circumstances. These could include cases like health epidemics (for example coronavirus), cyber attacks, cloud server failures, natural phenomena, strikes, war or mobilization, government or other official orders, and other related matters.
